Chiczofrenia – crazy is an art form By Dr. Laina Turner

 Laina Turner-Molaski

Laina Turner-Molaski is a business woman, mom, author, Professor, and a major supporter of shopping. She has an undying love for shoes and coffee, which is why she created her main character and alter-ego Presley Thurman.

With a lot of letters after her name and a ton of student loan debt, she is always working to pay the bills. While she enjoys her day job, her passion is writing, and she uses a lot of company time writing her fiction or working on her social website for women, Chiczofrenic.com. She is hoping to sell her bookbefore she gets fired from her day job for goofing off.

Laina is currently living in Indiana, with her family, and is always writing something, whether it’s blogs, articles, business journals and books or ideas for her next novel. She is continuously doing what she loves which is writing or drinking coffee.
You can check out her ramblings at:

Introduction

“ There comes a time when you have to stand up and shout:This is me damn it! I look the way I look, think the way I think, feel the way I feel, love the way I love! I am a whole complex package. Take me... or leave me. Accept me - or walk away! Do not try to make me feel like less of a person, just because I don't fit your idea of who I should be and don't try to change me to fit your mold. If I need to change, I alone will make that decision. When you are strong enough to love yourself 100%, good, and bad - you will be amazed at the opportunities that life presents you.”

Chiczofrenic = intentionally crazy and loving it

Chiczofrenic is my coined term for the woman who is purposeful and intentional in
how crazy their life may be. I came upon this shift on a plane ride back from a conference and thought how even though I enjoyed the conference, I wasn’ t as passionate as maybe I should’ ve been about business. That led me to think about what I was passionate about. After much brainstorming- I realized this was it.

The goal with this book is to recognize that so many of us women drive ourselves
crazy, intentionally, by trying to be all we can be. I firmly believe we can have it all. A great
relationship, marriage, be a great friend, a great mom, keep a good house (if that’ s important to you, it’ s not one of my top five), be a career woman, follow our dreams, work out, eat right, and many other things. However, somewhere while trying to accomplish all this, we can tend to go a little nuts. Some more than others and some longer than others. I used to think I was normal.

HA! What a reality check I’ ve had. Normal is relative. I’ m sure Howard Hughes and Andy
Warhol thought they were normal. Know it’ s ok to feel overwhelmed with all you have to do to have it all. Life isn’ t easy. However, we all deserve to have what we want. Women seem to have the knack of how to manage it all and not go too crazy. Women seem to always take on more and more…and dammit, we’ re successful at it.

Being a woman is difficult and a constant evolution of self-discovery. It’ s not an easy
journey and through the process you realize every woman has her own issues, her own brand of crazy, which is my favorite kind of normal. Crazy is fine. Embrace it.

Women have tried forever to pretend they fit in the norm even when the norm wasn’ t
what they wanted. I want women to embrace what it is they truly want - without caring what
anyone thinks. Learn to laugh at your own craziness and be cool at the same time. Be the strong individuals we all want to be while looking like a million bucks.

Introspect:

What’s your mission statement as a woman?

Excellent print on demand service for Greeting Cards.

I recently discovered an amazing site that offers some great customizable products!
I am a poet & photographer so I was looking for a way to create my own greeting cards since I happen to also own a mailbox rental store front. That's when I found http://www.zazzle.com/ I was obviously skeptical as to the quality but when I received my cards I was blown away. The cards have vivid color and a glossy finish. The Tees are also high quality.

The site offers a lot more creative freedom INMO than sites such as cafe press and buyers are allowed to customize their products when they order right from the site! (only if you allow that option)

I like the payment program as well and there is no minimum order. Also they build carosels for you to place on your site.

You can check my products here!

I recommend you all checking it out.

Brainfood, Dumpster Diving & Classic Finds

While browsing I found this (& obviously falls under Classic Finds)...

BRAINFOOD:

"Everyone knows that human existence is incomplete. Among those who are especially troubled by this are those who turn to writing. Writing is a way of trying to understand the incompleteness and, if not to heal it, at least to get beyond whatever is merely baffling and oppressive about it."

Movie Review: BOSTON GIRLS

CAMILLE SOLARI
...is KILLER

in
BOSTON GIRLS

Boston Girls, an edgy and provocative film about two femme fatales with a serious vendetta for cheating men.  Armed with a list reminiscent of Kill Bill, these girls won’t rest until the last scumbag has been offed. Starring the sexy and multi-faceted, female powerhouse Camille Solari and the alluring Shay Astar, Boston Girls is one not to miss.
Haunted by vicious memories of their past, tainted with rape and violence, these two Boston snow bunnies tour the town on a mad killing spree with a taste for blood and justice. Boston Girls will leave you reeling with the twisted crime scenes these two leave behind, but their vengeful rampage doesn’t stop with cheating men because after all, it takes two to tango. Things get heated when the two catch their own boy toys red handed... a brutal scene of love gone wrong and that’s just the beginning.  With Boston PD on their trail and a media frenzy of angry housewives, these two have every sewing circle in Boston buzzing with praise. With the ferocity of Natural Born Killers, Solari and Astar use their feminine wiles to exterminate their targets one by one, “Like a rabid dog that needs to be put down…” these boys get what’s coming to them!
A cleverly-written script, colorful characters and a cast that can’t be beat; Camille Solari’s fierce and compelling performance is authentic, intense and clearly worthy of note.
Sexy, seductive and packing heat…
revenge is a bitch and Boston Girls is KILLER!!!

Movie Review: IRONHORSE

Movie Review Of The Week
 IRONHORSE

By Chris J. Miller

Ironhorse is an instant classic. This film is an obscure tale of two artists and one mad scientist who is hell-bent on utilizing his evil potion to bring inanimate objects to life.
This potpourri of mixed media is not for the faint of heart, the gruesome kill scenes are both entertaining as well as a stroke of brilliant innovation by Director Chris J. Miller. The musical score which features Bagpipe Requiem by the talented Eric Lutes is both maddening and clever. These musical compositions paired with the seemingly drunken perceptions and surrealistic imagery is nothing short of captivating. Lydia Blaisdell-Miller lends her angelic voice to the score as Cynthia with her naturally poetic performance. This film offers a wide array of characters all colorful, peculiar and often…murderous, each haunted by their own personal demons. It is more than an artsy indie flick, it is uniquely haunting and absurd, but not without depth.

Ironhorse is an imaginative and maniacal dance of psychedelic gore and macabre.

Sleep And Other Things Lost
                                                     ~By Kevin Craig

In the absence of ardor and peaceable wits,
madness creeps and fondly sits
in the recesses of a withering mind

Oh lover, oh lover,
please do not have strayed far,
the latch remains open
and the door left ajar
Ajar, ajar it’s been left ajar!
Return to its creaking and popping
while sweeping,
again to the door left ajar...

Last night I sat at bed-foot,
in dire need of rest-but
through eyes that plead for slumber,
which failed thy sheep by numbers
I could not find that foe of mine

Awake I dream, dreaming,
a life in peril seeming, loneliness impeding
This, my stagnant, life’s redeeming--
Now, if never should come to me a wink in time
This abandoned, weightless heart might sink
Into a pool of envy
for that elusive foe of mine.

Hours pass now ever slow,
since love hath wondered thru that door
ignoring a hearts wretched implore
and with it took a wholesome mind
and left the decomposing kind
Worsened by the disappearance,
an overwhelming known coherence
That I too miss that foe of mine.

ABOUT THE POET

Kevin Craig, the writer of “Warm Salt” and “I Should Learn To Write” is a poet of humble introspection. A man of few words, but full of song and verse. His extensive collection of poetry, which consists mostly of free verse is both intimate and profound. His perspective holds the reader with a simplistic charm which never disappoints.

“I know the rules, but to me, poetry is about being honest, showing something of yourself, be it beautiful or horrific, that is where the true art lies. Because art is subjective, I see no reason to always fit into a perfect square.”

Kevin proclaims that although he has only begun to develop his voice he continues to write and inspire because it has become a part of his life in a way he never expected. The process of creating expression has created in him a desire to connect with the world through poetry.

Kevin Craig’s voice is original, memorable and made of stone. If this is the mere cusp of Craig’s poetic sway, without a doubt, there is certainly more to look forward to…
